Trevor Noah says Herschelle Walker should have a say in female abortion because ‘it’s probably her’ (VIDEO)

Trevor Noah may not believe that any politician should have a say in whether a woman can have an abortion, but if there’s only one who deserves it, it’s Herschel Walker. But that’s only because, as Noah joked on Wednesday night, Walker is probably the father.

Noah’s remarks came while discussing this week’s midterm election debate between Pennsylvania Senate candidates John Fetterman and Mehmet Oz. During the debate, Oz didn’t actually say whether he would vote for a national abortion ban, only that he doesn’t think the federal government should govern “how states make their abortion decisions.”

“I don’t want the federal government to get involved,” he said. “I want women, doctors, local political leaders, to always let democracy lead the way, which has allowed our country to put forth the best ideas so that the states can decide for themselves.”

Oz’s comments caused widespread backlash, with Noah calling it outright “bull-“. That said, Noah was impressed by how Oz managed to slip in the fact that he thinks politicians should be involved on some level.

,[It] It was very clever, wasn’t it? I like how he did it. Because he started that sentence like he was on the side of women,” Noah said. “And then he finally got caught up in the politicians, like a teenager buying condoms at a gas station. He’s like ‘Uh, let me get those Cheetos, and root beer, and canIgetthoseTrojancondoms please’.

But, however “cunning” Noah thinks Oz, he certainly doesn’t agree with the overall sentiment. In fact, the “Daily Show” host argued that there are only politicians in the country who should focus on abortion—and that’s only because they may have had a personal stake in the matter.

“I think we can all agree, there’s only one politician who should have a say in your abortion—and that’s Herschel Walker, ‘Cause it’s her!” Noah joked. “It’s his. It’s probably his. Ladies, check. They’re all his.”
