The cast of Wednesday made a video appearance at Netflix’s global Tudum fan event in São Paulo, Brazil and announced that Season 2 would welcome a new member of the Addams family.
Jenna Ortega (Wednesday Addams), Joy Sunday (Bianca Barclay), Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair) and Hunter Doohan (Tyler Galpin) dispelled fan theories, and one of them centered around speculation that a new member of the Addams family was about to emerge.
The cast confirmed the news that viewers would be able to see more of the family on Wednesday, but didn’t reveal who it would be. Ortega said she would “love to see Cousin Itt,” while the other cast members said they would like to see Grandma Addams.
Another fan theory the cast grappled with was Gwendoline Christie’s Professor Weems, who was seemingly presumed dead by the end of season one. Ortega points out that viewers “never see her funeral,” leading to speculation that she might still be alive. Fans have pointed out that by the end of the season, Lurch appears to have a different eye color than when viewers first met him, with some speculating that it could be Weems, who is a shapeshifter.
